The Alpha Sigma chapter (#42) at the University of Tampa was installed May 11, 1941 with Grand President Francis Todd serving as the installing officer. The Alpha Xi chapter from Stetson University performed the Ritual and installation ceremony. Charter members of the Alpha Sigma chapter include: Percy Spence, Jr.; James Taylor, Jr.; Lt.
