The Alpha Phi chapter (#45) at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey was re-installed September 30, 1949 with Charter Member of the Fraternity and District IX Counselor (Governor) Raymond Shannon serving as the installing officer. The Beta Zeta chapter from Long Island University performed the Ritual and Installation ceremony.
