The Theta Lambda chapter (#203) at The University of Memphis was reinstalled October 25, 2009 on The University of Memphis campus. The Lambda Rho Chapter of Tennessee Tech University served as the advising chapter and ritual team. At the conclusion of the installation ceremony, Lambda Rho presented the new chapter with a paddle. National Vice President for Student Affairs Jack Lee served as the installing officer. Theta Lambda was the first Kappa Kappa Psi chapter to be installed in the 2009-2011 Biennium.
There were many friends and family members present at the installation, including members from three districts – Southeast, Southwest, and Northeast. Attending the ceremony were active and alumni brothers of Pi, Delta Delta, Epsilon Chi, Eta Gamma, Theta Phi, Iota Nu, and Lambda Rho, with Southwest District Member-At-Large Andy Smith. The Iota Mu chapter of Tau Beta Sigma also attended the installation and presented the new brothers with several gifts – including their first set of fraternity letters.

The Eta Chi chapter (#190) at Bowie State University was re-installed May 30, 2009 with National President Malinda Matney serving as the installing officer. Past National President and Board of Trustees Member Melvin Miles served as the colony’s advising person. The Eta Gamma chapter served as the colony’s advising chapter and performed the Ritual and installation ceremony. Charter members of the Eta Chi chapter include: David Foster; Robert Anderson; Babakayode Elemo; Malcolm Gross; Justin Walls; Kenneth Young; Jamar Smith; and Ferman Roane, Jr.
The Mu Xi chapter (#302) at Muhlenberg College was installed on May 8, 2009 with Immediate Past National President Rod Chesnutt serving as the installing officer. Past National Vice President for Student Affairs Anthony Roscoe served as the advising person, and the Epsilon Phi chapter served as the advising chapter.

The Mu Nu chapter (#301) as Christopher Newport University was installed May 2, 2009, with National President Dr. Malinda Matney serving as the installing officer. Past NED President Ed Savoy served as the advising person, and the Eta Omicron chapter at James Madison University served as the advising chapter.

The Mu Mu chapter (#300) at the University of Central Oklahoma was installed on April 26, 2009 with National Chapter Field Representative Adam Bates serving as the installing officer. Past SWD TBS President Randy Kitchens and Past SWD President and HQ staff member Clinton Wieden served as advising persons, and the Delta chapter from the University of Oklahoma served as the advising chapter.
The installation was well attended by brothers from the Alpha and Delta Alpha Chapters, as well as, Southwest District MAL Megan Polis (Beta Gamma) and Headquarters Staff Aaron Moore, Preston Ramsey and Clinton Wieden.

The Mu Lambda chapter (#299) at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, TX was installed on April 24, 2009. This marked the fourteenth colony installation for the 2007-09 biennium. Michael Osborn, Past National President and Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees, served as the installing officer. The Beta Alpha chapter at Baylor University served as the advising chapter, Past SWD Governor Dr. David Scott served as the advising person for the colony.

The Mu Kappa chapter (#298) at Grand Valley State University was installed on April 18, 2009, with Past National President, and vice chair of the Board of Trustees, Michael Osborn serving as the installing officer. The Zeta Epsilon chapter served as the advising chapter and National President Malinda Matney served as the advising person.

The Mu Iota chapter (#297) at Jacksonville State University was installed March 1, 2009, with Past National President, and vice chair of the Board of Trustees, Michael Osborn serving as the installing officer. The Pi chapter served as the advising chapter and performed the 3rd Degree of the Ritual with members of the Theta Theta chapter. Melanie Muldrow served as the advising person.

The Gamma Alpha chapter (#73) at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas was re-installed Sunday, February 22, 2009 on the MSU campus. National Executive Director Alan Bonner server as the installing officer. The Alpha Omicron Chapter at Texas Tech served as the advising chapter, and Jason Kellison served as the advising person. Alpha Omicron drove over 200 miles each way to perform the initiation and brought a small brass & percussion ensemble to provide live music for the ceremony. Gamma Alpha was the tenth Kappa Kappa Psi chapter to be installed in the 2007-2009 Biennium.
Attending the Installation were a number of area alumni from the Gamma Alpha Chapter, as well as Jeff Bond and Matt Richardson, alumni from the MWD.
